UCBA career seminar series II (Finding an internship as biomedical student)
Dear UCBA members,
We are very happy to see the large attendance of our first talk by Dr. Ron Kirschner. The second talk in this series will be given by Ning Zheng, PhD., a recent graduate from Department of Neurology. She will talk about her internship experience at Takeda (a big pharmaceutical company based in Chicago), and share her experiences and insights with our member postdocs and grad students. The talk will be equally valuable for postdocs and graduate students.
Specifically, she will discuss:
- Importance of internship in alternative career
- Tips in exploring alternative career
- Tips for resume, networking
This seminar will be held on Thursday, Nov 17, 2011, at 4pm at BSLC 240 (http://maps.uchicago.edu/northwest/bsdlearn.html). Also, the next seminar of this series is tentatively scheduled in January (At the beginning of next quarter). Another PhD student will share his experience of interning at a healthcare consulting firm, stay tuned for our announcement in the coming weeks!
